Get Lost!

Come and join us on Saturday October 1st as we take a trip to the Maize. We will be meeting at the Maize on Niagara Falls Blvd (Just east of Old Falls) in North Tonawanda. Have your parents drop you off there at 6:30 and pick you up at 9. It will most likely be muddy, so dress appropriately and don’t forget to bring a flashlight. The questions guiding you through The Maize this year will be based on the story of Joseph. Whether you think this outing is really corny or totally amazing, it’s bound to be a good time!

Coffeehouse this Friday

Hi all. I hope you are all having a good week. I just wanted to let you know that the cookies are baking, the coffee beans are roasting, the air hockey table is waxed and the playstation is warmed up and ready to go!

Make sure you come to the coffee house this Friday night from 7.30-11.00. Bring a friend or two. This is a great way to show your non-church going friends how fun we can be.

YouthQUEST NūZ - September 11, 2005

Coffeehouse

This Friday, instead of sitting around thinking ‘I need to get out and do something’, get out and do something! Get your friends together and come to the YouthQUEST Coffee House. The coffee house will run from 7:30—11:00 PM in Hopf Hall. We will have plenty of drinks and snacks. All of your favorite games will be set up for your enjoyment.
See You at the Pole

“Call to me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.” -Jeremiah 33:3 (NKJV)

Start the school year out this year by calling out to God. On September 21st, students all over the country are going to gather in prayer before school. This event is known as See You at the Pole.
See You at the Pole is a student led event designed to get Christian students together to pray for their school, their fellow students, their neighborhood, or anything else that they feel needs prayer. You’re not out to make a statement or start a controversy, but to draw close to God.
This is an entirely student led event, so it is up to you to get people together and organize this, but YouthQUEST wants to help you out. We have resources that will help you organize and plan a SYATP gathering. We will also help you talk to your school administration to work out any conflicts. See us if you have questions or would like more information.

Get Ready To Dream

This fall, we are going to delve into the life of a person who may not be so different than you. He came from a “blended” family. He had step-parents, siblings who didn’t get along with him, and God had a plan for him.
This person is Joseph. All this fall, we will be studying how God used an average boy in a bad situation to save an entire nation.
At the end of our study in December, the youth group will go to see the production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. More information on cost and exact times will be available as we get closer to December. We hope to see you all there.

New and Improved
Get the Word Out

It’s a new year and we have a new list of points and prizes for the Get The Word Out Challenge. If you are new to us this year, you may be wondering what is this challenge?
The GTWO Challenge is a points based program to help you in your walk with God. You earn points by doing things like reading your Bible, memorizing Bible verses, and helping out at church. We will periodically give chances to earn bonus points throughout the year.
When you earn a certain number of points, you get a prize. The prizes start out small, but with a little work you can get the first couple prizes in just a few weeks. The more points you earn, the better the prizes get. Some of the prizes this year include YouthQUEST Bible covers, posters, and the new CD’s from Switchfoot and Audio Adrenaline.
If you stay dedicated throughout the year, you can earn the Grand Prize of a discount on Kingdom Bound. For 180 points, you get to go to Kingdom Bound for half price. All you need to do to reach this goal is read your Bible five days a week. Add two more points a week to that and you can go to Kingdom Bound for FREE!
“But I can’t go to Kingdom Bound this summer,” you say. “Why should I put in all the effort?”
For those of you who won’t be able to make it to KB this summer that still reach the 180 or 250 goal, we’ll give you a gift certificate to either Bender’s or Life Resources.
So open up those Bibles, start memorizing and let’s Get the Word Out!
